Diesel Technician

Qualifications

SkillsYou'll Need:

Education:

·      High School diploma orequivalent required.

·      Previous experience workingon diesel or heavy construction equipment is preferred. 

·      Additional vocational/tradeschool training in a mechanical field is also preferred.

Experience:

·      Able to perform allfunctions on Superior Ready Mix's equipment management software.

·      Previous experience workingon diesel or heavy construction equipment is preferred. Understanding of basicelectrical, powertrain and hydraulic knowledge, moderate usage of CAT SIS and EMSprocesses.

·      Knowledge of generalprinciples and practices of servicing heavy construction equipment required.

·      Previous experience workingon diesel or heavy construction equipment is preferred.

·      Equipment knowledge onengines, hydraulics, electronics, Tier 4 Systems and fuel systems.

·      Advanced understanding ofbasic electrical, powertrain and hydraulic knowledge, moderate usage of CAT SISand EMS processes.

·      Previous experience with CATSIS or ET programs highly desired.

·      Knowledge of generalprinciples and practices of servicing heavy construction equipment required.

·      Experience with aggregateequipment a plus.

Knowledge,Skills, and Abilities:

·      Knowledge of generalprinciples and practices of servicing heavy construction equipment ispreferred.

·      Must have some knowledge ofindustrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.

·      Must be willing to workovertime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.

·      Must be able to work outsidein all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
