Salary Range. The base hourly range for this role is between $27.00 - $30.00 per hour. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.

What You’ll Do
- Ensure Quality Control: Conduct routine QC testing on concrete and materials at the point of production, shipping, and job site arrival to ensure conformance to job specifications.
- Field & Lab Testing: Perform essential testing in both laboratory and field environments, adhering to ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT methods.
- Coordinate Sampling: Work closely with plant managers to coordinate material sampling schedules.
- Document & Report: Enter test results accurately into the database and communicate findings to supervisors in a timely manner.
- Maintain Lab Standards: Ensure the QC lab is clean, well-maintained, and in a safe condition. Periodically inspect and calibrate testing equipment.
- Monitor Materials: Inspect stockpiles and material sources to ensure segregation and contamination are eliminated.
- Promote Safety: Prioritize safety throughout the operation for yourself and others in accordance with MSHA and Superior Ready Mix standards.
REquirements
Skills You’ll Need
- Certification: ACI Field Certification is required; ACI Lab Certification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a Concrete Quality Control Field Technician role is required.
- Mathematical Ability: Strong proficiency in mathematical calculations for evaluating specifications and test results.
- Technical Detail: Must be detail-oriented with the ability to follow strict technical guidelines and instructions.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in data entry and the use of computerized equipment or Microsoft Office Suite.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities like climbing or cleaning equipment.
- Flexibility: Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
